How much does treatment cost?
The price of treatment depends on a number of factors such as whether the treatment is at the center or in your home, the length of the session and whether there are two therapists involved. For details please contact us to discuss your needs.
How long is the session?
Usually sessions are 50 minutes but some patients, staying for intensive periods , elect to have more than one session .
A small number of patients who are unable to manage to work for a full session may have shorter sessions.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
This is very individual dependent on your condition and how long you have had difficulties. Some patients need more regular therapy to maintain their level of activity while others may have short intensive bursts, interspersed with long period where they no longer require therapy input. Your therapist will discuss with you what your goals are and how they may be achieved and you will come to an agreement as to the number of sessions you opt to take.
Where are you?
ATPC is in al khaldi street, vetro medica bldg 87, Amman – Jordan with easy access to the 4th circle and we are close to the city centre. We have a main road position so are very easy to find.
Do you visit people at home?
We do see some patients at home, who are unable to attend the center, or to allow us to assess what particular difficulties they are having in their home environment. It is obviously easier for some patients to treat at the center, where we have the necessary equipment, plinths etc. and other team members on hand as required. We cover quite a wide area so please contact the center for more information.
How much would it cost to make a home visit?
The cost of a home treatment is slightly higher than a center visit and may be even more expensive dependent on the distance from the center and then time taken for therapists to get to you.
Do I need a referral from my GP or consultant?
You need a referral to let your doctor know you are attending so he may be happy to send details of your condition to us. We will send a report to your doctor after assessment and treatment if you are happy for us to do so.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
It is advisable to bring appropriate clothing for assessment, usually shorts and a crop top, vest or sleeveless top etc. If you are not happy to wear shorts, just inform your therapist and we will be happy to come to some arrangement which makes you feel comfortable such as stretch trousers. Each patient is seen in individual cubicles, not in an open gymnasium.
Do I need to bring any papers with me?
It may be useful to jot down any information we may require such as a brief history of your condition and details of any medication you are taking. Private medical details may also be useful.
Can my family stay in the session?
ATPC staff are always very happy to welcome your family into the therapy sessions and many of our patients have their family present at each session and others, once they have met our friendly team are happy to come alone and allow their carers to go shopping while they are in the center!
Where do I park?
There is a parking in the building and on the road outside the centre.
Is physical therapy painful?
Not necessarily. Our goal is to reduce or completely eliminate your pain. Physical therapy treatments often include hands-on techniques and specific movements designed to make you feel better.
It is important that you inform your physical therapist if you do feel pain during treatment as this will guide your therapist to adjust your program appropriately.
What happens if my symptoms return?
During the healing process, symptoms sometimes reoccur. If you experience this give us a call.
We may suggest you come back to see us, return to your doctor, or simply modify your daily activities or exercise routine.
